Beautiful Fish

This lake into which we fall
is a giant echo-chamber
alive with water’s mystery and current.

It sings ghost-memories before its invisible
master, confuses heaven with earth –
a pleasure-chute beneath the sky

that drags us back in time revealing
past secrets of our love.

(Extract from ‘A Druid’s Lake In West Cornwall)
